Bubble of time - Feature Demo
This is a demo of the features and game mechanics to a bubble in time.
This idea first originated durong the 2025 Global Game Jam, with the theme of bubble. I originally created the base features but realised a playable demo would require a lot more time then the 48 Hour limit and scrapped the progress, this is that progress built further on.
The core of the gameplay is built around the shader - a mechanic similar to the timeshift stone from TLOZ Skyward Sword. In order to discover what tools are avaliable to me I had to create and test multiple Unity tools with the shader and shader varients.
- Probuilder - Useful to create test enviroments in engine, the base shader works with this.
- Terrain - A WIP currently, to allow for terrain texture painting and the shader to work simultaneously, uses a shader varient.
Custom shader varients I have created include:
- Grass - A custom grass shader that works with the time shift stones.
- Invisible and Visible - A varient of the texture swapping shader used to make gameobjects visible/invisible based on location.
